Pretty pastel dreams in a drink
I know what you're thinking. This drink better live up to the title post that you've just given it. Well, my friends, I wouldn't be typing this post if it wasn't worthy of my time and energy posting about it on my blog. And you should know me by now - I'm sadly getting lazy with this whole schedule thing. (I even told my blogger friend I was posting every other day but we both knew that wasn't true..)
It's always time to treat yourself with Lush
I haven't posted a Lush haul on my blog in aageess. I can't remember when the last one was - I think it was for Mother's Day. ANYWAYS, yesterday I had to give more of my money to them as (1.) the shower creams are being discontinued - whyyyyy and (2.) There's new products to try yaaaay.
Because I'm worth it (joking)
There comes a time, my friends, when you acquire a collection of things you've bought over the past couple of weeks and realise it can materialise into a legit haul. Soo, it was only right that I should share it with you guys on my blog AND my lovely little youtube channel - which is turning two years old soon and I'm planning to do a whole post on it so keep your eyes open for that...
Adding some sparkle to your look
I've already posted about highlighters in the past few days - namely the new
Sleek Distorted Dreams palette... But when I was out with a friend before going out for pizza with some other friends (as you do), we ventured into Superdrug and lo and behold they had the infamous I Heart Makeup Unicorns Heart highlighter in!!
Sweet sounds to the ears
I have a serious love affair with music. I have to listen to songs every. single. day. I go through phases of listening to one artist constantly or one playlist that goes along with my mood.
And I thought this month's post should be an injection of gorgeous new songs and old favourites. I'm sure everyone's off for summer now, so maybe even a couple of these songs can add to the soundtrack of your holiday as some one these are doing for me right now...
An update on the instasphere
My favourite part of the year is summer, and that's because my themes always seem to get brighter. (Though I can't wait for Autumn because that's the best amiright?)
And while every blogger at the moment is turning their attention to the app and it's predicaments with engagement and all that jazz - which I want to do a post on in the future - I'm busy in my own little world having fun editing photos.
Reads I've been obsessed with
This post has been a long time coming but (a.) I've been so busy with work and the past month has been craaazyyy and (b.) I've just been in my own world of reading books. Fyi I've nearly finished Louise's book Wilde Like Me and it's soooo good!!
Anyways, today I'm bringing you guys the best books I've loved since I started my 2017 reading challenge at the beginning of the year! (oooooooh) So prepare yourselves for snazzy blurbs (who even invented that word) and sparkling thoughts on what you need to put next on your to read list...
Quite literally the palette of dreams
The other week I was bored, so I played on my phone as you do, and opened the Boots app. Lo and behold my friends I had £28.00 on my card in points to spend. Now if that isn't the best surprise feeling you will ever have, then I don't know what is... (Ok maybe finding a lonely £2 in your coat pocket to go towards a Starbucks is up there with the best!)
Because we all think them at some point
I don't know about you but A LOT of thinking goes into the whole fiasco of blogging. Especially when taking photos, writing them and even just being on social media.
So I thought I would put all the random ramblings that goes on in my head in a wonderful post. And I just really hope that some of you can relate to this... No, I'm being serious please tell me I'm not alone when I think these haha...
Be proud of who you are
Even though I didn't manage to go to Pride this year, I did manage to see all the lovely displays around Oxford Circus and Carnaby Street! I think it's amazing and so good that everyone can express who they are and celebrate it with events like this! #LoveHappensHere
The week for me personally has been reaaaalllyyyy exciting and all will be revealed on the blog soon. I promise!! Also the
Cath Kidston A/W has dropped - and I'm shook. Expect a lot of clouds and rainbows omg.
Aside from dying (yet again) in the heat, I've got some lovely blog posts to share with you all that I know you guys will love. I've tried to make it as different as I can this time, so I hope there's something for everyone... Once again, have a cosy Sunday and make today an excuse to self care!
Blogger appreciation post part two
This (sort of) series kind of feels like a lovely special occasion. Like a birthday. I don't do them too often, but when I do, I love sharing the love and giving some appreciation to the bloggers who grace my blog post feed!
Without them, I probably wouldn't be here writing this post. Seeing other people's passion for the hobby that's fast growing into a legit business sector makes me feel so grateful that I'm the 0.01% that's part of it. Even if I'm not earning any money off it. Yet.
Soooo, to get to the actual point, I thought I would list a few bloggers that you guys NEED to add to your feed! Their posts will make you smile, their photography and writing will hit you with new inspiration. It's basically a bunch of my favourites!
Basic needs: have pretty things
I know I know. The color correction on this photo is horrific. But ya gal had trouble making a veeery blue photo appear appropriately normal. And here we are left with a pink looking photo. But let's slide past that because it is FINALLY July! I don't know if I've always associated the month with breaking up for summer from school, but it just feels like The Summer Month. With capital letters.
And before we start wishing the month away. (Because between you and me, we both want Autumn to come) Let's get into what I've been loving the past few weeks. And yes, that framed photo of cacti IS relevant to this post...
Taking lipstick to the next level
In recent months I've managed to curb my spending on impulsive beauty buys. That's probably why you haven't seen many new reviews around these parts...
But pay day came last week and I couldn't resist indulging in the new Barry M metallic matte me up lip kits. (After running to the supermarket to get bits for my mum of course!)
If you've been here a while, you'll know
I bought the lip kit in Pose the other month, and I was SO impressed with the quality and the fact that I'm kind of halfway through it already, that I had to add two more to my collection.
The binge on everything day
If ya didn't know, this week marked 20 years of Harry Potter and I got a little emotional on Instagram... I won't ramble on like I did on there, but just like (probably) every human on this planet, it's been a HUGE part of my life. So much so, I'm only really just over a month older than the first book. Heck.
Anywaaays, life has been hectic as usual lately on my part, but I'm trying hard to churn out as many posts as I can. Though it doesn't help that I feel like I haven't slept in DAYS.
But do not fear, I've still got some lovely posts up my sleeve to share with you guys! Sooo settle back and enjoy! x
Having a chilled time...
If you're not familiar with my blog and all that jazz, I also have a
youtube channel. (Ooooh!) And this week I decided to upload a very chilled two day vlog. I think it's so important for us internet people to show the other side of blogging/youtube that's not staged around perfect backgrounds and lighting.
