I've Finally Designed My Dream Room

I bought a load of new bits for my room yay

I feel like every New Year, or there abouts, I make an interior post about my room. But every time, I always have some new bits to show you!! This time round it's a whole host of goodies from Primark and Oliver Bonas woo.

My dream room is to be minimal, yet cool with loads of fake plants and candles and trinkets.

And I think I've FINALLY achieved it. I love my room so much now and I've got round to decorating the top row of shelves and added a cute new cushion. So let's get into showing you the pics shall we?

Firstly, I wanted to add something to this shelf that wasn't just fairy lights, a frame, candle and a globe. And then I thought why not add a fake plant? This one is a £5 one from Primark and and it's the first real looking fake plant I've found that I loved that wasn't from iKea.

I also minimised my bedside table by just keeping my plant on there with my Lush perfume and dusting powder. And the Zoella lifestyle trinket tray that keeps all my keepsakes and hand cream and lip balm on.

Also my book! :)

As you can see, there's some extra cushions! The fluffy round one is a £3 bargain from Primark (from their new collection) and the moustache is one I've had for years and couldn't resit from Tiger.

I think I've got the perfect amount of cushions on my bed now and the two recent additions (the latter being kept in my wardrobe for so long) just add a bit style hehe.

Now onto my favourite part of my room. My shelves! Aside from the shelf where I've just added a plant, I've also added a cute little cat called Saskia (named by Oliver Bonas) next to ANOTHER plant.

I mean, can you tell I'm plant obsessed yet??

This little moggy is supposed to be a ring holder, but seeing as I only have one from Topshop that I wear all the time, I've made her just a cute little ornament. *awwwww*

Aaaaand, the grand finale kids! I went to the Primark Oxford Street homeware department the other day and they had SO MANY amazing things! I picked up an amazing fake real looking aloe vera plant in the most prettiest marble pot and a frame of plant prints, a quote and a pattern in a really pretty rose gold frame.

I did already own the candle (from Primark) and just added a few oh comely issues - aka the best magazine ever - and a few deer that belonged to my mum originally.

Overall, my room as been given a refresh, I LOVE it and I feel like I've finally achieved my dream Pinterest room. Until, I buy my own place and have an even bigger and more exciting project to delve into...

Have you guys bought anything new for your space?

  1. Your room looks lovely! I have plants in the living room but unfortunately there is no room for them in my bedroom - Probably a good thing or it would look like a greenhouse!
